Withdrawal of RCN OH Adviser sign now

The Royal College of Nursing has decided that the post of RCN Occupational Health Adviser is no longer needed. We the undersigned protest at this because we feel that we need professional advice from a professional who understands our role and needs. This decision comes at a time when our profession needs an adviser most. To withdraw this vital service that Sharon Horan provides to OH nurses within the membership will mean a devastating blow to many of us.

We pay for the services that the Royal College provides and expect that we will receive specialist advice from a specialist source. Sharon Horan is the voice of Occupational Health for the RCN and its members. She provides expert advice to the membership, the Department of Health, Department of Work and Pensions and to other prestigious groups both Nationally and Internationally.

We would urge the RCN to reconsider its actions in order to consistently give appropriate specialist advice to the OH membership and the wider community associated with it.
