Support for MSgt. Wagner and Lt. Col. De Rosa sign now

This was created in response to the following article published in the Arizona Daily Star on March 26, 2009:

We the undersigned support the AZ AFJROTC 943rd unit and its instructors, MSgt. Mark Wagner(Ret) and Lt. Col. August De Rosa(Ret). These two teachers have dramatically improved their students chances at success in the military and life in general for the last 15 years. This article ignores those facts, and paints a picture as two teachers who do not care for rules and regulations.

Even though this investigation is still processing and has not yet been completed. The fact that MSgt. Wagner and Lt. Col. De Rosa have taken responsibility for their actions speaks far greater than the accusations themselves.

This petition has been created to provide a show of support, and to provide positive stories on how these two have affected yourself or someone you know.

Please lease take no action. We are always looking for easy cases to raise funds, and since Mr. Wagner has publicly admitted to anti-gay hate speech, this is a piece of cake. We could clear a couple hundred thousand in legal fees suing TUSD. Thanks for yo

My goddaughter- Vanessa Daniel is a part of the JROTC program. This wonderful program has turned her life around. I support whatever it is that is being done in this program. A program with such success shouldn't be tarnished because 1 cadet has an issue.

Its not as much physical diciplin, but a way to keep students in school without taking legal action to punish them with referals, or suspension. push-ups are also very good for you.

I have had the privilege of watching Col. De Rossa work with these kids for the last 4 years. I have seen the enthusiasm the he promotes to his cadets. I believe that he is helping guide the youth into the young adults this country so desperately needs.

My son graduated in 2005 after four years of ROTC with Lt. Col. DeRosa and MSgt. Wagner. He has now completed three and a half years in the Army Reserves and one tour of duty in Iraq. I beleive they are as much responsible for his success as he is. They a

My son is attending Catalina High School next year solely for this program. I sincerely hope the fact that this program has fostered lasting positive qualities in hundreds of students/cadets before this will far outweigh the perceived negative experience
