Recognition of DOEACC 'A' and 'B' level courses sign now

The President of India,
The Prime Minister of India,
The Minister, Ministry of Human Resource Development,
The Minister, Ministry of Information Technology,
And all concerned,

Respected Sir/Madam,

We all students undergoing A-level and B-level course of DOEACC, an autonomous body of department of Information Technology, Govt. of INDIA; are writing few lines for your kind attention.

As you are aware, DOEACC is a joint scheme of department of information technology, Govt. of India and AICTE, set up with the objective to develop quality manpower in IT sector by utilizing the expertise and infrastructure available with the accredited computer training institutes.

DOEACC is one of the leading societies which are engaged in providing quality computer education. It has strength of about 4 lakhs students. It runs different courses in the form of O level (diploma), A-level (Advanced Diploma), B-level (M.C.A. equivalent) and C-level (M. Tech Equivalent) courses.

As such A-level and B-level qualifications have been recognized by central government and PSU's. But government only cannot fulfill the evils of unemployment. When students move to private sector industries for interviews, they are rejected merely for the reason that the industry doesn't know what these A-level and B-level certifications are. Though DOEACC A-level and B-level qualifiers are no way less competent in comparison to regular B.E. and M.C.A. students. If a nationwide test is conducted for the proficiency, DOEACC qualifiers would be happy to show their worth.

For your kind information we think it is worth to put some of our achievements here:

1. A number of DOEACC certified students are studying in I.I.T.'s after completion of their B-level.

2. A large number of B-level students have qualified the GATE examination.

3. One of our B-level students has achieved Guinness Record in the field of computers.

It is difficult on our part to explain the private software companies about these courses and even if we explain to them, they won't get convinced and ultimately we are rejected for the lack of proper certificate.

Sir, it is worth mentioning here is that DOEACC A-level and B-level courses are designed in line with the university P.G.D.C.A. and M.C.A. courses. Government of India itself recognizes these courses under different gazette notifications:

Sir, NASSCOM being a supreme body engaged in making I.T. policies in India has recommended that DOEACC should go for a deemed university status. Due to the lack of interest and efforts from the DOEACC governing body for providing this status, the future of lakhs of students is in jeopardy.

Now a days there are advertisement for computer professionals in every software firms but the equivalent qualifications A-level and B-level are not included in the eligibility criteria. Even some state government organizations in the past, refused to add the A-level and B-level qualification as eligibility criteria for employment purposes. We feel very much harassed and beg your immediate intervention.

So in these circumstances, we take this opportunity to request you, once again to consider reorganization of DOEACC as deemed university to ensure recruitment of quality IT personnel both in the Private and government organizations.

Hoping for the necessary action from you.
