Lee Trundle for Ireland sign now

Lee Trundle is a professional footballer who currently plays for Swansea City in League One. He is eligible to play for either England or the Republic of Ireland but has not yet made an international appearance. Given the fact that Ireland over rely on Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle, surely it would be beneficial for a new striker to be at least given a shot up top. Added to this is the fact that Staunton has given caps out left, right and centre to players playing for lower league clubs such as Luton Town, and an American college player, so surely such a wonderfully skilled player like Lee Trundle deserves a chance.
