Against Fred Phelps And Westboro Church sign now

As many of you know, Westboro Baptist Church is planning to picket the funeral of late Sgt. Jason McCluskey Saturday November 13th at the First Baptist Church in McAlester, Oklahoma. Many steps are being taken to support and protect the McCluskey family, but I felt it was necessary to also begin a petition against this wretched institution that calls itself a church. This is not the first family that in their time of grief has had to deal with the insensitive and disrespectful members of Westboro Baptist Church and the turmoil they bring with them as they travel city to city spreading hate that they justify by saying it is in the name of God.
In Romans 14:1-13 it is written, "So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another." Any good Christian or good person for that matter knows that what these people are doing is not only offensive and repulsive but also evil. The judgment they are attempting to pass can only truly be passed by God himself. Man kind does not has the authority to attempt to make the claims that "Pastor" Fred Phelps and his congregation have.
On the Westboro Baptist Church website ( one of the first things you will see is a paragraph reading, "Since 1955, WBC has taken forth the precious from the vile, and so is as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC began conducting peaceful demonstrations opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth." How can someone projecting such hate say they come in the name of a God that is supposed to be a god of forgiveness and kindness?
One of the next things you will see on their website is a series of numbers. "5,807 soldiers that GOD has killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. 44,518 pickets conducted by WBC. 811 cities that have been visited by WBC. 1011 weeks that WBC has held daily on the mean streets of doomed America. 1,078 people whom God has cast into hell since you loaded this page. ... 0 nanoseconds of sleep that WBC members lose over your opinions and feelings." Wow. How mature. I was under the impression that a good Christian should sympathetically try to help others, not bash other's beliefs and ideals or cast judgment upon other people.
The last piece of evidence as to the evils of Westboro Baptist Church I will present is also from their very own website. It is the definition of "God hates fags." Westboro Baptist church says that this offensive and disgusting phrase is, "a profound theological statement, which the world needs to hear more than it needs oxygen, water and bread." They also go on to state that is shows three things:
1. "the absolute sovereignty of "GOD" in all matters whatsoever."
2. "the doctrine of re probation or God's "HATE" involving eternal retribution or the everlasting punishment of most of mankind in Hell forever"
3. "the certainty that all impenitent sodomites (under the elegant metaphor of "FAGS" as the contraction of faggots, fueling the fires of God's wrath) will inevitably go to Hell "

These people are sincerely misguided and filled with hateful ideals. The reason for this petition is to keep them out of not only McAlester but all other cities! Let these lunatics go back to where they came from. Over 44,000 pickets have been conducted in 811 cities and no one has stopped them yet. I say it is about time someone tried. Please, I implore you, stand with me against the blatant evils that Westboro church carries with them wherever they go.
